Arts School Service

Have you thought of offering arts activities at your school as part of your curricular activities, PPA time or even breakfast or after-school clubs?

Arts are a fantastic way of engaging young people, helping them to express themselves creatively, increasing their communication skills and physical coordination. Research shows that arts activities help children and young people to gain self-confidence and self-esteem and can even improve their concentration and behaviour in class.

Bromley Mytime has a great team of community art workers (Community Arts Team) which is continuously being expanded in order to increase our skills base. They are available to deliver exciting and innovative workshops in your school. We offer regular workshops during curriculum time, lunchtime, before and after school as well as more in depth project work.

The Community Arts Team includes professional artists, dancers, film makers, photographers, musicians and actors with experience working with children and young people in formal and informal education settings. We delivered over 900 art, dance, drama and film making workshops in the last year and are currently working with 25 Bromley schools and the 2008 Bromley Summer University provision.

Go to our Arts Activities page to have a look at the exciting menu of arts subjects we can offer, and feel free to give the Arts Development Department at Mytime a ring to discuss your particular requirements. Arts Coordinator Toni Reeves can be contacted on our schools ‘hotline’ number 0208 323 1740 or via email toni.reeves@bromleymytime.org.uk
