BBC Star Launches buzz zone with Young Pirates

Buzz Zone is for under 11’s and features a four storey play area themed on a pirate ship. Features include rigging for climbing, a fearsome drop slide, and ball cannons to surprise your friends! Smaller areas for under 3’s, a crèche, children’s party rooms, and a new Flavours café complete the family friendly approach at the Walnuts.

Buzz Zone was funded by Bromley Council in partnership with Bromley Mytime, with savings generated through setting up the charitable leisure trust 2 years ago.

Chairman of Bromley Mytime, Dennis Barkway said, “These improvements are much needed at the Walnuts and already proving very popular with our customers. We are committed to earning further surplus to re-invest back into all our services gaining quality improvements for the benefit of all residents”.

Cllr Neil Reddin, Executive Member for Resources from Bromley Council said, “Getting young people active in early life is the best preparation for being healthy into young adulthood, and this service is already setting new standards for quality. I am looking forward to further improvements through our partnership with the leisure trust re-investing surpluses back into improvements for all of Bromley”.
