Blackheath and Bromley Harriers Athletics Club

Junior athletes from the highly successful Blackheath & Bromley Harriers Athletics Club are representing Great Britain in the prestigious European Junior Club Championships in September 2007.

As national junior champions the Under 20’s women team, consisting of a squad of thirty athletes covering all track and field events, will travel along with ten club officials, to the Czech Republic.

This is a great experience for the young athletes to compete against the rest of Europe; in support of the team and to help raise performance standards, Bromley Mytime have awarded £1000 through our club grant scheme. Bromley Mytime works in partnership with Sport Bromley, an independent body who have contributed £250 towards this grant.

In 2006 Blackheath & Bromley's Junior Women were the third best under 20s team in the whole of Europe as they exceeded all pre match expectations. The 2007 team are aiming to match or improve on last years bronze, and we wish them every sporting success.
