The buzz programme offers a wide range of activities throughout the term time and the holidays. Here's a list of some of the activities that are on offer with a short description. If you'd like more information about a particular activity, ask at your local centre or email buzz@bromleymytime.org.uk. Please note some of the listed activities are seasonal in nature and may not be available all year round.

Shoot like Robin Hood and go for gold in this unusual sport. No equipment or experience needed.
Come and be arty at our art jam sessions with a mixture of multi crafts using a wide range of materials relating to a theme. All artwork is then displayed in the centre for all to see.
Qualified coaches will help your child in gaining confidence and coaching in a number of strokes and techniques over the session all finished off with a game where your newly learned skills can be put into action! Suitable from 5 years and upwards. Equipment supplied.
Passing, movement, dribbling and shooting. Come and learn the rules of this fast moving, action sport with fully qualified coaches.

At Darrick Wood Pool during the Easter holidays. Pre-school children attend with their parents, staff will help the children to make a picnic, parents, children and staff will then eat their picnics on the grass outside followed by circle games and songs. All children need to bring is a bunny teddy bear!
An enjoyable way of painting on ceramics of all types from pots to models to animals. At the end of the session your child can bring home what they've painted. All equipment supplied.
Learn the basics of this fun, American sport. High energy, pom-poms and dance routines.
Malleable fun with sand, soil, dough, plasticine and clay, with the option to make a clay model.
A combination of your favourite sports, includes tennis, football, cricket and unihoc
In partnership with Bromley District Cricket coaching, cricket is delivered by fully qualified coaches who work within ECB directives. Sessions are delivered in the form of Kwik cricket and Inter cricket and are aimed at ensuring the participants have fun as well as acquiring new skills and techniques.
Kwik Cricket - covers all basic cricketing skills including batting, bowling and fielding, using plastic equipment suitable to the age and ability of the individual.
Inter Cricket - bridges the gap between kwik cricket and hard ball cricket with basic through to advanced skills being taught. Equipment used includes lightweight, quick release pads and wooden bats.
All equipment is provided and participants are given certificates with advice on how to contact local clubs.
Sessions featuring a range of dance themes to keep your child happy and busy learning new steps to the latest sounds.
A fun dance class for those with lots of energy. Learn new dances to the latest music and have a fantastic time
A DJ will instruct children how to mix tunes together with basic beats(UK Garage and dance music) using record and CD decks. At the end of the 2 hour session you will make a disc to take home and show all your friends.
Ready, steady, cook! Come along to the Pavilion Leisure Centre during Easter to decorate cakes and eggs, make bunny sandwiches, easter nests, bunny biscuits and lots more!

Combines fun and knowledge of gymnastics to improve co-ordination, flexibility and strength. You even have the option of taking it to the next level with our gymnastics classes and become a gym superstar.
Sessions are delivered under the Bromley Hockey Development Scheme, which works in partnership with Bromley & Beckenham Hockey Club. All sessions are delivered by fully qualified, experienced hockey coaches teaching basic hockey skills using proper hockey equipment suitably adapted for the age and abililty of the child. There will be lots of small-sided games to ensure that everyone has fun whilst learning new skills and techniques.
All participants are given information on how to join Bromley & Beckenham Hockey Club's junior section.

'Green Dragon Judo' - Self defensive martial arts taught by fully insured and qualified coaches. Suitable for children aged 5 years and older, this Olympic sport is great fun, structured and healthy for boys and girls and will boost confidence.
A type of martial art taught by qualified coaches, both for the younger child from 3 to 7 years and from 8 upwards. The emphasis is on fun and both boys and girls can take part in this oriental form of self defence.
A fun-filled two hour session which involves making kites out of various materials and watching them soar in the sky afterwards.
Fun run-around session, packed full of games and activities! From treasure hunts and catch games, to relays and the parachute. Guaranteed to have your little one tired out!
The Bromley MEND Programme is a FREE 9 week course for children aged 7 to 11 years who are overweight or obese or are worried they might be. It consists of lots of games, discussions and exercise activities to improve health levels, build confidence and self esteem and impart knowledge of good diet and nutrition.
Come and dance like the stars. This fun-filled session promises dance routines to have you dancing like your favourite stars.
For children under 4 years of age. An unstructured session with qualified staff. Sessions consist of equipment such as climbing frames, trikes, hoops, mini trampet and hop-scotch. The session finishes with parachute games and circle time songs. Children that have enjoyed mini gym may like to go on to trampolining or continue with mini gym.
Mini gym sessions are currently being held at the Spa at Beckenham and the Walnuts Leisure Centre in Orpington.
At the Priory Sports Centre during the Easter holidays. For children aged 6 to 11 years. Have your face made up, hair done and nails painted while ilstening to all the latest sounds, having fun with photos and a free pack of face wipes for the journey home!
Provides a fun and safe introduction to fencing for children. Their child friendly system which has been developed with the assistance of the BFA, helps to promote hand eye co-ordination, balance, concentration, inter-personal skills and self-control in a fun and informative way.

Rugby is an increasingly popular sport with both boys and girls and as a team sport, it caters for all types of ability.
Tag Rugby is a safe, fun and exciting form of non-contact rugby. The game comes down to its simplest form: passing, evasion, running and support play. Tag Rugby is lots of fun to play and is easy to learn.
One off sessions for children aged 8 years and above, based around karate with basic moves taught. suitable for both boys and girls.
Offers pre-school children an exciting opportunity to work with experienced arts workers to creatively underpin their early years development through dance that will inspire them, engage them and help the develop their creative, physical and social skills. Classes are currently being held at Beckenham Public Hall.
Bring a picnic and your teddy bear! Whilst enjoying the afternoon there will be games, dancing and some arts and crafts to take part in, very relaxed but very good fun.
If you go down to adventure kingdom for half term fun then why not join in our teddy bears' picnic where our open area is magically turned into a picnic area. Bring your teddies to join in with party games, cake/biscuit decoration, sandwich making and fun and games.

Indoor golf for 5 - 9 year olds, playing in a safe environment with qualified coaches. Develop golf skills, shot and swing plane using different club types and enjoy learning aspects of playing the game. Equipment used, including balls, clubs and targets, is specially adapted for this age group. Sessions now being held at the Walnuts Leisure Centre.
Once your child has experienced Tri Golf and had fun, they can try outdoors at the Bromley Golf Centre and High Elms Golf Course
