Sporting Profile of Emily Godley - Pole Vault

Emily was recently selected to compete for the England U20 team in the pole-vault event at the Celtic cup in Cardiff. At the South England Indoor championships Emily’s best performance was 3.51m. At this years London Youth Games Emily won a gold medal in the weightlifting event, which forms an integral part of her specialised pole-vault training.

Emily, age 17, trains 4 times per week and is part of the highly successful Blackheath and Bromley Harriers athletics squad. Emily is also part of the Under 20’s squad going to the Czech Republic in September to represent Great Britain in the prestigious European Junior Club Championships.
