Frequently Asked Questions

What is Bromley Mytime?

Bromley Mytime is a charitable leisure trust, a social enterprise, committed to working in partnership with Bromley Council to deliver a range of leisure services. Although we are an independent organisation, we have very strong links with the Council and work alongside them to provide excellent leisure services for all the residents of the Borough. As a not for profit organisation we re-invest any surpluses in the services ensuring improved opportunities for all in future.

Why a Trust?

The idea of delivering leisure services through the form of a charitable trust has been successfully put into practice in many parts of the country. In Bromley a “Best Value” review concluded that a Trust would be the best option to sustain and improve leisure services in the future.

What does this mean for our customers?

As reflected in our name Bromley Mytime is a customer focussed organisation that will continue to deliver high quality and sustainable sports, arts and play and childcare services offering opportunities that play a vital role in improving Bromley’s quality of life. We will continue to work with the Council to deliver local priorities, and honour our commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.

Who is the Trust accountable to?

We have an excellent Board of Trustees recruited from local residents with relevant business and professional expertise. There are 11 Trustees including two nominations from the Council. Bromley Mytime is regulated under company and charity law, and also has agreements annually reviewed with the Council.
