A web site, set up by Sport England, shows 1000’s of indoor sports and swimming pool sites in the local area and wider region. The site – (external link)www.activeplaces.com – details lots of public and membership facilities across the country from swimming pools to sports centres, tennis centres to golf courses. Also included are athletics tracks ski slopes, all weather pitches, ice rinks, indoor bowls, and health and fitness clubs. The site explains at which facilities membership is required, or whether you can turn up to pay and play. The site also includes details of access including, opening hours, car parking and changing facilities.
