£5,000 for Bromley Rugby Development Group

The BRDG comprises of local rugby clubs and Bromley Mytime a charitable leisure trust operating leisure facilities and activities in partnership with Bromley Council. Bromley Mytime’s Sports Development Unit delivers a full programme of schools rugby coaching across the borough using member clubs as exit routes.

Nigel Putner, BRDG Treasurer, said; “This is a fantastic opportunity to give talented lads extra coaching and to bridge the gap between school or club and county level rugby. This award will enable us to build on the inter-district festival and provide additional coaching.’

Matt Michell, BRDG Chairman, said; ‘This is brilliant news for both the group and for the wealth of gifted youngsters in the area. All of the BRDG volunteers act selflessly in their efforts to develop rugby before their own clubs, as a result every club in the borough reaps the rewards’.
