Bromley athletes showcased an excellent performance in the 2008 adidas Mini London Marathon securing joint first position with a total of 1757 points.
A lucky young footballer was awarded a Skills Academy t-shirt, signed by Frank Lampard, Arjen Robben and Damien Duff on Saturday 26 April. James Lydall, pictured, was presented the prize by Mike Delaney, Director of the Skills Academy, who is also a world famous football freestyler.

Bromley’s young people are being encouraged to get active and have fun from just £1 a week! New dance and fitness programmes for 11 – 16 year olds start in May at leisure centres across the Borough.
New 'Skill Factor' football programme is here!!!
The NEW ‘Skill Factor’ football programme is here starting from 21 April 2008 at most Bromley Mytime Centres. Delivered by the Skills Academy the programme is designed for boys and girls of all abilities aged 6-11years old.
‘MyFuture’ is an exciting new programme currently being delivered in two areas in Bromley – Mottingham and Orpington. This two year project will provide regular arts and sports activities, helping young people to develop new skills and participate in positive activities which will make a real difference for local communities.
Local swimmers and leisure centre staff took the plunge at 4 of Bromley’s Swimming Pools for Swimathon 2008, the world’s largest swimming fundraising event, and helped raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Swimathon Foundation.
