Speed Challenge Kicks Off

Over 50 young soccer stars kicked off the Bromley Speed Shot Challenge in September recording speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.

A huge, brand new, inflatable speed alley was the main attraction at two free events delivered jointly by Crystal Palace Football Club (CPFC) Football in the Community Scheme (FITC) and Bromley Mytime. Colin Morris, Operations Manager at CPFC FITC said "the speed alley is a bit like a bouncy castle but shaped like a tunnel. Players shoot the ball into the alley as hard as they can and it records the speed of the shot.

The sessions gave players aged up to 11 years old a taste of what to expect from Crystal Palace football courses that take place at Bromley's local leisure and sports centres during term time, holidays and every Saturday morning. All courses are delivered by FA qualified Crystal Palace coaches.
