Bromley's young star athletes meet the Mayor

21 September 2005

Each member of the borough’s squad excelled at the Games, competing against more than 20,000 athletes aged 11–17 in 40 different sports, representing all 33 London boroughs. Bromley’s success featured outstanding performances from the gold medal-winning teams in mixed tennis, girls swimming, mixed badminton, boys hockey, mixed fencing, and mixed athletics plus a 3rd placing for girls netball and a 4th place for the trampolining team.

The Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Mrs Joan Wykes, praised the Bromley Team thanking all the hard efforts of the athletes, team managers and the Sports Development Unit at Bromley Mytime who worked so hard in co-ordinating the games.
